POLICE APPEAL: Information sought after jogger injured in collision with van in Sarratt

Published on: 23rd January 2022   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision in Sarratt where a vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

The incident occurred in The Green, at around 8.50am on Monday, January 17.

A woman was jogging along the road when she was struck by a white van, which then carried on driving towards the general direction of Croxley Green. The woman was left with a broken collar bone as a result of the collision.

PC Liam Pereira, who is investigating, said: “Understandably, the victim was left in a state of shock and was unable to get any further description of the van or the driver.

“I am appealing for anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time and saw anything of note to please contact us. I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage.

“I’d also like to appeal to the driver themselves to do the right thing and come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to please email Liam.pereira@herts.police.uk

You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 435 of 17 January.
