OPEN TO ALL: Community encouraged to use Kings Langley food bank if they need support

Published on: 26th January 2021   |   By: Holly Bullen   |   Category: Uncategorized

An appeal has been launched In Kings Langley to urge the community to use the food bank if they need to.

Many residents have been struggling recently with the financial difficulties of the pandemic and the recent outcry surrounding the lack of support for children with free school meals.

However, community figures in Kings Langley want to make people aware that the food bank in All Saints’ Church is open to those who need it.

Kings Langley Parish Council councillor Andrew Hubberstey is among those urging residents to use the food bank.

He said: “There’s no vouchers required, the food bank is unmanned so you can come along and take what you want as often as you need it.”

Father James McDonald, team vicar at All Saints’ Church said: “The food bank is there for anyone who needs it. Please come in via the main doors facing Church Lane, and then it’s under the tower on your right.

“Thank you to everyone who is supporting the foodbank with donations, they are really making a difference – it’s an important resource in these difficult times and is being well used.

“If you need any further support, please contact us at All Saints (beneficeoflangelei.org.uk/allsaints) or Kings Langley Good Neighbours (klgna.org)”

The food bank located at the back of the church is open daily from 9.30am to 5pm.
