A group of business people from Pinner hosted a visit from the Mayor of Harrow recently. Councillor Ajay Maru spoke about his political and commercial career while attending the Pinner and Northwood Business Club (PNBC) lunch on Wednesday October 29. The Mayor’s chosen charity for his year in office, CORAM, was boosted by a £230 donation from the club. CORAM has been supporting vulnerable children for 275 years and the Mayor was delighted with the donation. Pinner & Northwood Business Club Chairman, Les Conway, said: “It was good of the Mayor to give up his time and come to speak with us about his background, his duties and share some of his thoughts on how Harrow Council can help local businesses. “It was our pleasure to support the Mayor’s chosen charity which does a lot of invaluable work with vulnerable children and families.”
