A Radlett resident has won a prestigious award in the British Institute of Professional Photography’s (BIPP) annual competition.
Su Kaye was announced as the Photographer of the Year 2022 with her portrait of a 14-week-old English bulldog puppy, titled Things are Looking Up.
She was also awarded Pet Photographer of the Year with the same image and Documentary Wedding Photographer of the Year with her photo titled Conflicting Emotions.
More than 1,200 images were submitted for the competition, and the judges were “blown away by the talent and creativity”.
Su said: “The competition was huge, and many extremely talented, respected and creative photographers entered. This was a goal I had always coveted but never imagined I would receive – I am absolutely delighted and still on cloud nine! Such a highlight of my career!”
Su’s father, Paul Kaye, was a previous recipient of the award in 1977.
