All change as Vicarage sells having been on the market since April

Published on: 24th July 2018   |   By: Tim Green   |   Category: Uncategorized

The Vicarage in Abbots Langley has been sold after being put up for sale for £995,000.

This distinctive, Grade II listed, former vicarage just a short walk from the village centre and adjacent to St Lawrence Church had been on the market since April this year.

The property comes with planning permission and conservation area consent for a new crossover, driveway and detached double garage, via St Lawrence Close, to provide ample off-street parking.

It also comes with covenants such as; not to call the property by any name that might suggest it is still the vicarage, not to use the property other than as a single dwelling in the occupation of a single family, not to cause nuisance to the minister and congregation of St Lawrence Church and not to use the church driveway in connection with the property at any time.

The sale has been welcomed by one local resident, Samantha Thomas, who contacted MyAbbotsNews. She said: “It is great that it has been sold as it is always a shame to see such important building remaining on the market.

“If the new owners do not disturb church goers and respect the heritage of the building, I think it is a good thing.”
