PETAL POWER: Kings Langley residents show off their skills in ‘jaw-dropping’ garden competition

Published on: 18th September 2025   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category: Uncategorized

It’s getting wild out here as residents watered their grasses, arranged their flowerpots, and pruned their trees for this year’s Kings Langley Parish Council Gardens Competition.

Councillor Alan Johnson was joined by councillor Gerry Angiolini and Emma Power, the chief operating officer of Sunnyside Rural Trust, to judge the competition.

This year’s winners included Lynne Higley for the Best Creative Garden Design, Team Rob for Best Tropical Garden, and So Soft Designs for Best Overall High Street Premises.

Having endured a wet winter and hot summer, Kings Langley residents proved they could overcome a variety of challenges.

Cllr Angiolini said: “It was great to see some of our regular participants branching out with some new ideas. It’s wonderful to see what people get up to in their gardens, some with jaw-dropping results.”

For all the winners, there will be a presentation evening at Kings Langley Cricket Club on Friday, October 3.
