Parents and residents say they have noticed an increase in the number of drivers parking their cars on zigzag lines near a Stanmore school.
According to Louise Robinson, whose daughter is in Year 4 at Stanburn Primary School, some parents are known to become “verbally abusive when challenged”, with some even moving cones teachers have placed across zigzag lines.
Louise said: “We need regular parking patrols down this section of road. “There is an ongoing consultation to extend the zigzag, but it’s pointless unless [illegal parking] is being monitored.”
“Drivers are getting away with it as no fines are ever issued.”
Harrow Council has been contacted for comment.
