A Bushey resident has released his first book after writing poetry for his family for years in his spare time.
Grand Union Story by Clive Lamb was published on March 16 and tells the story of a young single mother’s post-war struggle to bring up a child in the London suburbs.
Speaking to BusheyNews, Clive said: “I’ve always written poetry for my family for special occasions, but with bringing up a family and having a full-time job, it’s only ever been a hobby.
“When COVID-19 came about, I had quite a lot of time. I thought about how strange families can be and started to create this family in my mind.
“I’m happy with the story and the style of writing; it leads onto another story.”
