CCTV footage has been shown in court of Kyle Clifford on the same day he murdered three people.
Clifford, 26, of Enfield, North London, admitted to the murder of three women – Carol Hunt, Hannah Hunt and Louise Hunt – at their family home in Ashlyn Close, Bushey, on July 9, 2024. The three women were the wife and daughters of BBC commentator John Hunt.
An inquest in July heard that Mrs Hunt died from stab wounds to her chest and abdomen, while her daughters both died from crossbow bolt injuries.
Clifford also admitted one count of false imprisonment against Louise Hunt, and two counts of possession of offensive weapons – a crossbow and a knife.
Clifford is further charged with the rape of Louise Hunt on July 9, which he has denied.
On Monday, March 3, the BBC revealed that a jury had been sworn in for the rape trial.
Today (Wednesday, March 5), videos shown in court on day two of the rape trial show the route Clifford drove to Bushey from his home in Enfield; Clifford going to a garden centre on the morning of the murders; and Clifford parking on Bushey Grove Road before the murders.
A few days before the crime, a video was shown of Clifford buying rope and petrol cans.
The trial is ongoing.
