Officers are appealing for witnesses and information after a dog injured a man in St Albans.
Between 11.15am and 11.30am on Friday, January 2, a man was walking his dog when it was reportedly attacked by another dog in Greenwood Park on Tippendell Lane.
He was injured by the large grey dog, described as similar to a Cane Corso/Italian mastiff, as he tried to intervene, causing facial injuries.
The dog’s owner is described as a white woman, 30-40 years old and approximately 5ft 6ins tall. She was wearing a long coat and hat, and was also accompanied by a young boy.
PC John Cooper, from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Our inquiries are ongoing, and we are asking anyone with information to please come forward.
