A fence at Chalfont St Community Library was recklessly damaged last month by someone when it was closed.
One of the pieces was pulled apart from its post and a gate was completely destroyed in the senseless act of vandalism at the end of October.
Peter Kedge, of Kedge Landscapes, was quick to put forward his help to replace the broken fence and gate free of charge for the library.
The library said they were “heartened” by Peter’s offering of his services, but the premises volunteer had already purchased the fencing and fixed it.
Valerie Robbins said: “What a lovely gesture from Kedge landscape, it proves there are still nice people around.”
