A Bushey resident is hosting a solo art exhibition in Radlett this month.
Enoka David was born in Sri Lanka and was surrounded by renowned local artists, who influenced her appreciation for art, in her early years.
She feels “excited” to showcase her work at The Radlett Centre from June 2 to 30, particularly her new series of endangered species in a vibrant contemporary style.
Enoka’s husband Ranjan said: “The challenges Enoka sets herself artistically allow her interpretation of a particular subject to develop in various directions, from figurative to abstract.
“Her inspiration is drawn from her surroundings, travels and nature. A variety of styles is as a result of curiosity and experimentation over the years.
“She has a fascination for reflections, transparency in glass, drama created by light and shadow, movement, perspective and form.
“Although she was always very creative, constantly sketching and painting while in school, sadly she didn’t have the opportunity to study art.
“Since moving to the UK after marriage, her passion for art was reignited when helping out her sons with school projects and activities.”
Entry to the exhibition is free and no booking is required. Find out more about Enoka and her work at www.enokadavid.com
