A Gerrards Cross pub has won its battle to operate after fighting off objections to its licence to serve alcohol.
The Journeyman pub, set to open on the site of the former Marks & Spencer store at 10 Packhorse Road, had faced some opposition to its application to sell alcohol until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and until 11pm on other days.
However, at a Buckinghamshire Council Licencing Sub-Committee meeting on Tuesday, April 25, their licence was fully approved.
Peter Borg-Neal, CEO and founder of Oakman Group, the pub’s operators, said: “We’re looking forward to opening in July and becoming an integral part of the Gerrards Cross community.
“In addition, we would like to reassure the local community that it was never our intention to trade until five o’clock in the morning, but as with our other pubs both locally and throughout the UK, we believe the proof of our good intent will be seen in our happy partnership with our community over the coming years.”
