An annual charity golf day is taking place next month to raise money for a charity at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood.
Paul Strickland Scanner Centre (PSSC) is organising this year’s Teeing Off to Beat Cancer event at Denham Golf Club on Tuesday, June 11.
The money raised on the day will go towards PSSC, which is based at Mount Vernon and provides scans to monitor life-threatening conditions.
The competition will be an 18-hole Stableford contest with both team and individual prizes. Participants can start the day with coffee and bread rolls, and finish with a three-course meal. The event will also feature a raffle and charity auction.
Caroline Wren, senior fundraiser for PSSC, said: “The charity is also looking for local businesses who would like to raise their profile and make a difference to their community by sponsoring a hole for £100.”
The entry fee for the event is £110 for a team. To find out more about sponsoring or to join the event, call 01923 886315 or send an email to appeals@stricklandscanner.org.uk
