Chalfont St Giles library reopens to the public after being shut for almost four months.
Residents have shown excitement as the library reopened its doors for the first time after lockdown.
Speaking to ChalfontsNews Tony Hoare, chairman of the Chalfont St Giles Community Library said: “We like most libraries are opening on fewer days, to see what the demand is and because many of our volunteers are of an age and don’t wish to return to the library just yet.
“We have done a full risk analysis of the library. The two volunteer’s have screens supplied by Buckinghamshire Library Service and there are notices, and sanitiser also provided by the Council.
“We are recording all the visitors to enable Track and Trace”.
The chairman of the library said he is glad to welcome back keen readers.
He added: “We are looking forward to all our regular users returning to the library, especially the children who are now officially on holiday.”
