Kings Langley residents have broken the world record for the amount of people dancing to the 1970s classic Oops Upside Your Head at the same time.
The concerted community effort took place at the popular Kings Langley Carnival on Saturday, June 24.
After an anguished six-month wait, the Guinness World Records confirmed today (December 12) that the community had broken the existing record of 406, with 435 people taking part.
Carol Lingwood, of the carnival committee, said: “Kings Langley Carnival is now the Guinness World Records Title Holder of the Largest Oops Upside Your Head Dance, with 435 participants.
“According to Guinness World Records, we are now ‘Officially Amazing’.
“What a Christmas present for the village to receive.
“Many thanks to you if you were involved in this fantastic community achievement, and congratulations.
“We will have the Guinness World Record certificate on display at the next carnival on June 22, 2024.
