Watford have wasted no time in adding to their squad in the January transfer window, after they confirmed their first signing this morning.
The versatile Danish winger, Phillip Zinckernagel, 26, scored 19 times last season for FK Bodø/Glimt, playing a major part in their title win.
The club have announced that Zinckernagel will wear the number seven shirt, and will be eligible to make his debut in the FA Cup third round tie against Manchester United on January 9.
Speaking via the club’s website, the new signing said: “I’m really excited and just want to train and play. I’m still fit after an unbelievable season. It was the first title for any club in the north of Norway and we broke so many records. It’s been amazing.
“We destroyed the league and now I’m really looking forward to working with the coach. His aggressive style of forward play will fit me perfectly. I want to play and contribute goals and assists and help the club go up to the Premier League.”
