A suspected drink driver was arrested in Watford after she went looking for her missing iPhone left in a taxi.
Officers were called to West Watford yesterday morning to reports of a suspicious vehicle.
Police arrived and spoke to the driver and passenger.
The driver stated she had left her iPhone in a taxi on Monday evening (December 28) and had tracked it back to an address where the taxi driver lived.
A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesperson wrote on Facebook: “She believed driving to the address at 3am to collect her iPhone was a good idea.
“However she failed to realise she was double the drink drive limit and had no insurance or driving licence.
“The vehicle she drove was seized, driver arrested and passenger had a rather long walk home into London.”
The iPhone was retrieved and located on the back seat of the taxi.
