Authorities have raised awareness of the potential dangers of parking during the school run as several complaints were lodged by residents. At the Radlett, Aldenham and Bushey Community Safe Partnership (CSP) meeting on Monday, October 10, at Queens School, the topic of school parking was discussed. Particular interest was taken towards Immanuel College. Some residents have claimed the problem has been ongoing for several years. A spokesperson for Hertsmere, Keely James, said: “A handful of residents agreed that parking here is a problem with some parents taking little care getting in and out of cars, and a few driving dangerously around the school when dropping or picking up their children. “Police have been doing visible patrols around the school to tackle the issue and a number of tickets have been issued recently.” Police UK confirmed that there were two vehicular incidents reported outside Immanuel College along Woodstock Road in July alone. Records for recent months have yet to be released. With the police more vigilant than ever, it is hoped that incidents involving parents will slowly drop.
