The Apsley Paper Trail, which runs the historic Frogmore Paper Mill, has announced a leadership transition which they hailed “a significant step forward”.
Elena Lewendon, who has led the charity with “exceptional dedication”, will start a new chapter searching for historic shipwrecks off Antarctica.
During her time in the role, Elena guided the trust through pivotal moments, including the challenges posed by a devastating fire in 2022.
The trust shared: “Her visionary leadership has been a cornerstone of Frogmore’s success, and we are deeply grateful for her contributions.”
Stepping into the new role of chief operating officer is Kayleigh Thornton, who will lead the historic Frogmore into its next stage of reopening and long-term development.
A spokesperson for the trust said: “Kayleigh’s appointment ushers in an exciting new era for the trust.
“Her leadership will be instrumental in driving its ambitious 10-year plan, setting the stage for Frogmore Mill to become a world-leading heritage attraction and ensuring a sustainable and vibrant future.”
