New deli delights Pinner

A young female entrepreneur has brought a taste of Europe to Pinner by opening a new independent delicatessen and coffee house. Harriet Carpentier,26, opened her business Carpentier & Co in the High Street on Saturday September 20th after falling in love with the village. She said: “My parents run a deli and wine shop in Kings Langley so I’ve been brought up in a food environment and learned about the industry from an early age. “I chose Pinner because I fell in love with the village and it’s a place which feels cosmopolitan, yet at the same time retains a sense of community. “I believe the quality food and drinks we offer will be well received.” Harriet has employed a sign writer to hand paint her store’s sign. She said: “The High Street is beautiful and rich in history and I wanted my sign to fit in with that.” The Carpentier & Co team are also going to great lengths to ensure the Deli’s range is ethical, authentic and responsibly sourced. “We source all of our food and drinks from across Europe including sausages from Germany, cheeses from Wales and an incredible range of anti-pasta from Italy.” Harriet added: “It’s been nerve wracking getting the deli ready for the opening and at times it’s been pretty stressful. However, it’s also really exciting and we have received some great feedback from people. “We all work hard to learn as much as possible about our range so that we can give the best advice. Although we have scoured Europe for the best deli products we’ve gone closer to home for our coffee by using a company which roasts high quality blends from their base in Kings Langley.” Along with its extensive deli range they also sell fresh sandwiches, platters, juices and much more. Carpentier & Co is at 26 High Street, Pinner.
