Pinner Association has closed the curtains on another successful season of Concerts in the Park, held throughout July and August.
This year was the association’s 22nd concert season and saw performances from Simply Gray, Harrow Steel, Stardust Big Band, and Nimesh Sanghoi and his team performing ‘Bollywood Blast’.
Organiser and chair of the Pinner Association Julie Waller spoke to Pinnernews and said: “This year’s concerts have been the most diverse that we have ever held. I also believe it has been the most successful season we have had.
“We were incredibly lucky with the weather and for once had four dry Sundays. These community events wouldn’t happen if it wasn’t for the volunteers that turn up to help. I estimated that we had over 300 volunteer hours over the course of the season. Thank you for your help.
“We had four volunteers that were still at school and their contribution made a difference. Pinner’s community definitely came together to enjoy the music following the riots around the country. The volunteers and the audience are what make this such a wonderful community event.”
