A mother from Edgware has been jailed for six years after admitting the manslaughter of her one-year-old son. Finola Cash, 32 was sentenced at the Old Bailey on Tuesday June 9 after pleading guilty to the manslaughter of Ricky Cash at an earlier hearing on Monday, 30 March. Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to an address in Whitchurch Lane at approximately 4.20pm on Saturday, August 23 2014 to reports of a unresponsive child in the bath. Ricky was taken to hospital but died on Monday, September 22. A post-mortem examination took place on Thursday, September 25 and gave Ricky’s cause of death as immersion in a bath. A multi-agency Serious Case Review is underway, commissioned by Harrow Local Safeguarding Board. At this stage, no further comment on the case has been made.
