A one-off concert was recently held at St Mary’s Church in Northchurch to raise funds to help displaced children.
Held in the church’s parish rooms on Saturday, May 11, the event featured performances and talks all focused on the theme of peace and what peace means in people’s everyday lives.
The music was orchestrated by Yaroslav Oliinyk, a talented young pianist and composer.
The event was organised by St Mary’s in conjunction with EducArt. The Hertfordshire-based organisation works to help young people who have been displaced by conflict by providing educational projects, arts and crafts activities, and music events.
A spokesperson for EducArt said: “This event was a wonderful display of community spirit, generosity, and deeper human connections.
“All the funds raised at this concert will go to services that help displaced children and young adults nurture their talents and creativity. Thank you to all who helped make this event happen!”
