The team at the Amersham Festival of Music has released the spring 2025 line-up, full of performers, bands, orchestras and more.
Last year was the Amersham Festival of Music’s 40th anniversary of delivering world-class music to audiences in Buckinghamshire. Heading into 2025, the team has a line-up that’s sure to please music lovers of all kinds.
Closing off their winter 2024 programme and poetically falling on Valentine’s Day, enjoy music from Bach, Mozart and Schubert. Performed by Jennifer Stinton on the flute and Iain Ledingham on the piano and conducting, the concert will take place at St James Church in Gerrards Cross.
Then on Friday, March 28, listen and learn about the soundtracks from all your favourite movies live at Kings Church Amersham. Enjoy a highly entertaining insight into the creative process of composer Rael Jones accompanied by the acclaimed Heath Quartet and other musicians.
March closes with the Bucks Music Trust Jazz in Concert event at Amersham Free Church on Sunday, March 30, which will feature young musicians from across Buckinghamshire. The performers will showcase different forms of jazz, brought to you by Buckinghamshire Music Trust. According to the festival organisers, the concert focuses on “ensuring young jazz musicians have the skills to play in and lead jazz ensembles”.
April will include six fantastic shows, including Amersham A Capella, South Bucks Choral Society, The Great American Songbook with Great American Wine, and more.
Closing off the season at St Mary’s Parish Church in Old Amersham on Saturday, April 26, is Ian Ledingham’s Grand Farewell Concert, where he will celebrate his final concert as artistic director of the festival.
