Police in Pinner are encouraging residents to use the new Met Engage platform after closing down their local social media accounts.
The Pinner Police and Pinner South Police accounts on social media platform X announced they are now using Met Engage as the main tool to gather feedback and inform residents of updates.
PCSO Lee O’Brien, from the Pinner Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Whilst X will continue to be used by the Met, with regards to neighbourhood policing, our new platform Met Engage is a much better way for us to deliver key messaging and advice to local residents.
“It also provides them with an opportunity to help shape how we police their local area so we can take action on the things that truly matter to them.
“All residents can play their part in making Pinner an even safer place for everyone, so the more residents who sign up to Met Engage, the more effective it will be in helping to reduce anti-social behaviour, crime and the fear of crime in the area.”
Residents can sign up to Met Engage for free at www.metengage.co.uk
