A new £42m mental health facility received a special visit from a local dignitary this week. Watford’s Elected Mayor Dorothy Thornhill visited Kingsley Green, based at the former Harperbury Hospital site near Radlett, to see how work was progressing. Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust’s (HPFT) Project Director Barry Trindall gave Mayor Thornhill a tour of the new facilities. The mayor donned a hard hat and high visibility jacket for the special tour of the site, which is still a work in progress. When completed, Kingsley Green will provide services for people suffering from mental health problems. It will include five specialist wards and a café. HPFT spokeswoman Jessamy Kinghorn said: “The facility at Kingsley Green will be a flagship building for mental health inpatient services in England.” Read the full story in March’s My Radlett & Shenley News.
