May half term fun

Published on: 23rd May 2018   |   By: Jason Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

You may be aware of the fun stone hunting trend which has taken off across the UK – people decorate and hide stones in public places and either take them to swap or leave them for others to enjoy.

The NHS turns 70 this year and as part of the celebrations, NHS Herts Valleys CCG is taking part in #HemelRocks – a fun initiative decorating stones and leaving them in parks or other public places for other people to find.

Staff have been busy decorating the NHS70 rocks in their own time and now have 70 rocks to mark 70 years. We will be distributing them across Hemel Hempstead this week in time for the families and others to find during May half term.

They are also distributing a pledge card to patients, residents and volunteers across the whole of Hertfordshire and parts of Essex.  The pledge card is asking people to give something back to others and to the NHS on it’s 70th birthday.

Kathryn Magson, Chief Executive of Herts Valleys CCG, said: “We really hope people have fun finding the rocks and getting involved in a great community project. If you find a rock, please take a photo and post on social media using #HemelRocks and @hvccg.”
