A Hemel Hempstead resident is delighted to have launched her first ever crime book.

Liliana Lia, 30, from Leverstock Green, Hemel Hempstead decided to keep herself busy over lockdown by working on her book ‘Dear Clara…’.

Speaking to HemelNews, Liliana said: “I’ve always enjoyed reading books and I thought that I could try writing one as well. I wanted to create a strong female character that will face difficult situations with realism; a character that readers could relate to.

“I started to write it last year, in September, as a new project during lockdowns, so I could keep myself positive and enthusiast while facing coronavirus restrictions. It was an entertaining project for me as I tried to put the main female character in fictional situations.

“I also wanted to develop a plot that would encourage readers to think of what they would do if they would face similar scenarios in real life.”

Liliana said ‘Dear Clara…’ has attracted much attention on social media platforms.
