Since its inception in 2009, the awards, held at the prestigious The Grove hotel, have celebrated heroes who have played an integral part in the community.
In the past, we have honoured people from all over our news patches whose dedication to making their communities better for everyone is deserving of commendation.
The Sporting Achiever Award is given to an individual who has shown incredible sporting prowess and dedication.
At the last MyLocalHero event in 2022, gymnast Ondine Achampong collected the award after winning a wealth of medals at global competitions.
