A Ruislip man has been fined after being caught red-handed littering from his car.
The incident took place on Monday, May 8, when the man was driving through Denham in Buckinghamshire.
Traffic camera footage captured the man, who was driving a blue-grey car, waiting behind a heavy goods vehicle. He then threw a small amount of rubbish out of his window and onto the road.
What he may have thought was a relatively simple and minor action soon landed him in trouble, as Buckinghamshire Council’s fly tipping enforcement team prosecuted him for his actions last month.
The individual has had to pay a £150 fixed penalty, discharging his liability and allowing him to avoid having to appear in court for prosecution.
The footage has now been posted to the fly tipping team’s social media.
They stated: “There is no excuse.”
