Radlett-based football team Belstone FC have had an astonishing start to the season, which at the time of writing, has seen the side win all of their nine games.
Since the beginning of the season in early August, the Stones’ track run has been unblemished. They gained the top spot in the Herts Senior County League Premier Division following their 3-1 victory over fourth-placed Cuffley on Saturday, September 9.
On the day, it was former Cuffley player Kaci Henri, who had only left the opponents in the previous summers, who opened the scoring for Belstone in the 13th minute.
Though Cuffley were able to equal things due to the efforts of their player Sam Cassidy, Henri would later restore the Stones’ lead with a thundering penalty. Victory was secured in the 85th minute by another goal, this time scored by Remel Larwood.
Despite his goalscoring heroics against his old club, Henri was just pipped to the post by Johnny Gyabaah for the man of the match award, awarded to the latter for his steadfast midfield performance throughout the game.
Belstone’s next fixture at the time of writing is an away match against Hatfield Town, which is set to be a challenging bout for both sides.
