Boy, 8, left with ‘serious’ leg injury in Abbots Langley

A young boy was seriously injured in a collision in Abbots Langley yesterday (July 29). 

At 4.07pm Hertfordshire Constabulary were called to an eight-year-old boy who was hit by a car on Kitters Green, off Gallows Hill Lane.  

The child was transported by land with the air ambulance to Watford General Hospital with a serious leg injury.

A spokesperson for Magpas Air Ambulance, said: “At 4:43pm yesterday afternoon (29th) the Magpas medical team landed in Abbots Langley via the Magpas Air Ambulance.

“They assessed a young patient who had sustained multiple injuries and provided them with A&E level care at the scene before accompanying them to hospital via land ambulance, monitoring their condition throughout.”

An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Magpas air ambulance were called to the scene.
