LIFE THREATENING: Witness appeal after collision in Watford

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision in Watford this morning (May 20).

The incident occurred in Rickmansworth Road, on the roundabout at the junction with St Albans Road, at around 7.40am.

A cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries following a collision with a Ford Focus. He has been taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition at this time.

Sergeant William Hood, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Enquiries are being carried out to establish the circumstances around the collision. I am appealing for anyone who saw what happened to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage of the incident, or events leading up to it.”
