A football club in Garston is urging players and residents to donate their used kits to charity.
Everett Rovers FC (ERFC) have allied with Kit Aid to provide underprivileged communities with football-related clothes and equipment so that they too can enjoy the beautiful game.
The latest hoard of clothes sent by ERFC is now being enjoyed by children in Timbavati, South Africa.
Vice-Chairman of ERFC, Dave Preedy, said: “We asked all of our players and their parents if they had anything they had grown out of or just not using anymore. We donated not only Everett Rovers kit but football boots, astro trainers, footballs, and goal nets.”
KitAid founder, Derrick Williams MBE, said: “Your kit donation counts and will bring happiness to many different people, projects and teams across the developing world.”
