Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal road traffic collision in Hemel Hempstead.
The incident occurred in Bennetts End Road, at around 6.10pm on Saturday, December 24, and involved a pedestrian and a black Nissan Juke.
Despite best efforts to save her, the pedestrian sadly passed away. Her next of kin have been informed.
A woman has been arrested in connection with the collision and is currently in police custody.
Sergeant Simon Cooper, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Losing a loved one is devastating at any time, but even more so at this time of year and our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends. We ask that their privacy is respected as they try to come to terms with the news.
“Our investigations are continuing to establish the circumstances around what happened and, as part of this, we are appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or events leading up to it, to please come forward.
“We’d be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage. If you were driving in the area and have one fitted, please review it and contact us if you think you may have information to assist us. Thank you.” Anyone with information is asked to please email firstname.lastname@example.org”
