A sign used to rename Kings Langley for two weeks last month is to be auctioned for charity. The village was renamed King’s Landing last month as part of a PR stunt to promote the launch of the new Game of Thrones DVD Box Set. To tie in, two Kings Langley signs were temporarily replaced with specially made King’s Landing signs and a fan of the show now has the chance to get a unique piece of history. Dacorum Borough Council is selling the Game of Thrones King’s Landing sign in a ten-day eBay auction to raise money for two local charities – the Dacorum Community Trust and the Waterside Centre in Kings Langley. The sign is being sold on eBay and the listing can be found by clicking http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321356927833#ht_185wt_1190. It will be live from March 21 for 10 days.
