KILLERS CHARGED: Eleven charged with murder after shooting

Eleven people have now been charged following an extensive and complex investigation into the murder of Mustapha Jatta in Kings Langley in September 2024.

Marc Brummitt, aged 22, of Garsmouth Way, Watford, has been charged with murder. He was remanded into custody and will appear at St Albans Crown Court on 16 July.

Louise Corker, aged 21, of The Phillipers, Watford, has been charged with murder. She was remanded into custody and will appear at St Albans Crown Court on 16 July.

Blessing Yeboah, aged 21, of Baxter Road, Watford, has been charged with murder. He was remanded into custody and will appear at St Albans Crown Court on 16 July.

Chandler Orpin, aged 29, of Bakers Mews, Aylesbury, has been charged with murder. He was remanded into custody and will appear at St Albans Crown Court on 16 July.

Dwayne Flemming, aged 37, of Victoria Way, London, has been charged with murder. He was remanded into custody and will appear at St Albans Crown Court on 16 July.

Carlito Dujon, aged 21, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder. He will appear at Hatfield Remand Court on 16 July.

Sean Barnabie, aged 43, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder. He will appear at Hatfield Remand Court on 16 July.

Archie Rodney, aged 19, of Baxter Road, Watford, has been charged with participating in an organised crime group. He has been released on conditional court bail and will appear at St Albans Crown Court on 11 August.

Akala De Lisser, aged 20, of Kingswood Road, Watford, has been charged with participating in an organised crime group. He was released on conditional court bail and will appear at St Albans Crown Court on 11 August.

Jake Chapman, aged 33, of Adomar Road, Dagenham, has been charged with participating in an organised crime group. He was released on conditional court bail and will appear at St Albans Crown Court on 11 August.

Kayleigh Sgambati, aged 40, of Dodd Road, Watford, has been charged with two counts of perverting the course of justice. She was released on conditional court bail and will appear at St Albans Crown Court on 11 August.

At around 12.33am on Tuesday 17 September 2024, police were called after Mustapha was shot in Railway Terrace, Kings Langley.

Approximately 15 minutes later, at around 12.45am, a white Volkswagen Golf believed to have been used during the incident, was reported on fire in Furtherfield, Abbots Langley.

The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (BCH) Major Crime Unit has spent almost two years investigating the circumstances surrounding Mustapha’s death and the events that followed.

Detective Inspector Adam Bridges, from the BCH Major Crime Unit, said: “These charges mark a significant milestone in an investigation that has been ongoing for almost two years.

“Since Mustapha’s murder, detectives and staff have worked tirelessly to build a detailed picture of the circumstances surrounding this incident, examining all available lines of enquiry and reviewing substantial amounts of evidence.

“Our focus throughout has been on securing the best possible evidence and seeking answers for Mustapha’s family, who continue to feel the devastating impact of his loss. I would like to thank them for their patience and support during what has been an incredibly difficult period.
