Chorleywood Common Youth Football Club (CCYFC) is starting fun new football taster sessions for women across the village and beyond this May.
Any woman over the age of 18 can join up for free, regardless of whether you have experience kicking the ball or are completely new to the game. The sessions will go on for the next 16 weeks, starting on May 8.
These informal kickabouts are part of the Football Association (FA)’s new ‘Just Play’ initiative, which are non-competitive, hour-long sets of play for those of any skillset, and those who don’t want to commit to an eight-month-long football season.
The kickabouts will start off in groups, and eventually change and be tailored to meet the needs of the group’s various members.
So far, 13 people have signed up to the CCYFC sessions. They’ll take place every Sunday from 6pm to 7pm, located at the newly built 3G pitch at St Clement Danes School. All you have to do to join the free kickabouts is fill out the form, which can be found at this link.
