Published on: 24th April 2022   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Dacorum detectives have put out another appeal for both witnesses and information concerning an assault following a boxing event in Berkhamsted.

Taking place at around 9pm on Saturday, April 2, in the rear car park of Berkhamsted Sports Centre, the assault occurred after a verbal altercation with a group of males, which led to a man being punched in the mouth.

The victim was left with a broken jaw and needing extensive and potentially life-changing surgery.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Karen Jordan: “The incident occurred following a boxing event at the location, so there were a lot of people at the venue at the time.

“We are hoping that someone may have seen the assault or may have other information which will help our investigation. If you were in the area at the time and saw the incident, or the events prior to it, please get in touch.”

Anybody who has any information is asked to email DC Jordan at karen.jordan@herts.police.uk.

Info can also be reported on the police website, via their online webchat, or by calling the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number41/26177/22.

If you are concerned about remaining 100% anonymous, information can also be reported to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or through their online traceable form on their website.
