POLICE CALLED: Radlett drivers suffer minor injuries in collision involving two cars

Police were called to reports of a collision in The Avenue, Radlett, at 10.42am on Saturday, January 21.

The incident took place by the junction between Williams Way and Shenley Hill, and involved two vehicles – a silver BMW X1 and a white Nissan Micra.

The drivers were reported to have slight injuries and recovery was arranged for both vehicles.

Herts Police confirmed that no one was arrested in relation to speeding.

A resident, who would like to remain anonymous, said: “From my perspective, this really is a huge shame as I believe this could have been avoided had action been taken to introduce speed-calming measures. And I still believe these should be introduced.”

Back in 2019 and 2020, former Aldenham parish councillor Przemek de Skuba campaigned for improved safety measures on the road.

He previously told Radlettnews that there were speeding drivers and a “high level” of traffic on Shenley Hill.

Hertfordshire County Council has been contacted for comment.
