A Kings Langley student has been crowned Senior British Champion after winning gold in synchronised trampolining at the 2026 national championships.

Alex Manton, 17, who trains at Ministry of Air in Hemel Hempstead, claimed the Senior Men’s Synchronised Trampoline title alongside Aidan Taylor of Central Galaxy Coventry Trampoline Club.

The pair scored 43.16 in the final at Telford International Centre on October 3 and 4, finishing top of the podium at the 2026 British Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT Championships.

The teenager’s success isn’t just to the delight of his own, it also shines a light on the people who work behind the scenes at the training facility.

Graham Williams of the Ministry of Air said: “We are absolutely delighted for Alex. Becoming a British Champion is a phenomenal achievement and a testament to the hard work, commitment and determination he has shown throughout his training.

“It’s fantastic to see a local gymnast from Hertfordshire competing at the very highest level and coming away as a British Champion.”

Alex is currently studying for his A-levels at Kings Langley School while balancing his studies with the demands of competitive trampolining.

Synchronised trampolining requires two gymnasts to perform the same routine simultaneously on adjacent trampolines, with their timing, control and consistency contributing to their final score.

Ministry of Air will continue to support Alex as he builds on his national success.
