A podcaster from Tring has been selected to judge this year’s British Podcast Awards.
Jeremy Chapman, the founder of the podcast production company Your Voice Here, produces his podcasts from his shed in Tring.
Now, Jeremy has been offered the prestigious role of judging this year’s British Podcast Awards, amongst other successful podcasters.
Speaking to TRINGnews, he said: “I still can’t believe I’ve been given the opportunity to offer my feedback and critique to some of the biggest names in podcasting. Considering that I started my podcast production company, Your Voice Here, towards the end of 2020, I feel like a novice compared to the other judges on the panel. My wife calls this my imposter syndrome.
“But when Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, starts paying you compliments about your conscientious and calm approach, along with telling you that you have a lovely voice, you do sit up and start believing in yourself.”
Jeremy’s journey started during lockdown in 2020 when he was a volunteer for an amateur radio station in Tring. He initially joined as a volunteer radio presenter, and despite never presenting before, was one of their top presenters with the most listened-to shows.
He continued: “It all came naturally to me, like a duck to water, and the station benefitted as the calibre of radio show improved greatly.”
Desperate to develop his passion and skillset, he started to help and mentor others at the station. Jeremy now produces a wide range of podcasts featuring interviews with guests about all things creative, rock and roll, musical and art. Through Your Voice Here, Jeremy’s clients have amounted more than 100,000 listeners worldwide.
The British Podcast Awards take place on Thursday, September 26. For more information about starting a podcast, email hello@yourvoicehere.co.uk or visit yourvoicehere.co.uk
