Kings Langley Carnival is set to return to the village this year, and organisers have announced they will be attempting to break a world record.
The carnival will take place on Kings Langley Common on Saturday, June 24, with entertainment on offer including a dog show, performers and games, as well as local food and craft stalls.
This year is slightly different though, as attendees could help beat a Guinness World Record for the number of people dancing to Oops Upside Your Head.
Suggested by resident Bob Best and approved by the carnival committee, the application to beat the current record of 406 people has been accepted by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Carol Chandler, carnival committee chair, said: “We thought this would be a great way to give everyone coming to the carnival a chance to make a little bit of history.
“The carnival is always a fun afternoon, but this time there is the opportunity to put Kings Langley on the map.”
For those organisations, charities or businesses wanting to be part of the carnival, now is the time to register an interest.
