Chalfont St Peter Tennis Club (CSPTC) recently hosted a charity event which raised much-needed funds to support Ukrainian refugees living in the area.
More than 70 members attended the tennis club’s barbeque, which raised more than £1,600.
Attendees raised money through a raffle, competitive auction, buying food and drink, and contributing additional donations.
CSPTC members thanked those who made the evening such a success and to the businesses which donated to the raffle and the auction.
A spokesperson for CSPTC said: “We want to applaud all the volunteers who benevolently either baked, cooked, served the bar or cleared up after evening had finished. A special mention has to be made to Annie Viljoen, CSPTC’s social secretary, who coordinated the entire event impeccably.”
CSPTC is also offering free membership to Ukrainian refugees and their families. Find out more at chalfontstpetertennisclub.co.uk
