JOIN IN: New database to help Croxley Green residents during pandemic

Published on: 7th April 2020   |   By: Amneet Kaur   |   Category: Uncategorized

Croxley Green Parish Council is looking for volunteers all around the village to put themselves forward to help out those who might need it over the coming months.

The parish council will act as a facilitator between those asking for assistance and those kind enough to provide it.

They will be able to put in contact someone asking for help with a volunteer that lives close by.

The database will be held only by the parish council, never displayed publicly or shared with any other organisations.

A spokesperson from the council mentioned: “We will all be facing uncertain times over the next few months with the development of the coronavirus and your parish council will do whatever it can to help Croxley Green.

“The parish council is now building up a database of volunteers within Croxley Green to provide help to those who need it over the next few months, and especially the older residents in our community.”

If you are healthy and able to volunteer then email at info@croxleygreen-pc.gov.uk

with a contact number, which road you live on and any other information you think may help.

The council is looking to have multiple volunteers for each street in Croxley Green.

To make sure all residents know that this service is available paper flyer will also be distributed to households.

Village residents are happy about this initiative as it provides a more concrete way of helping people. Many already sent emails wishing to join the database.
