Kings Langley residents are invited to attend a village-wide celebration to mark the coronation of King Charles III.

The coronation will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, May 6, and will be the first time a British monarch has been crowned since 1953.

The following day, from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, May 7, the Kings Langley community will come together in the village garden for an afternoon of celebrations in honour of the new King.

The event is being held in collaboration with All Saints Church, Kings Langley Parish Council and Kings Langley Musical Theatre Company (KLMTC).

There will be a barbecue and a bar complete with real ale, cider, lager and prosecco, as well as plenty of fun activities.

A bouncy castle will be on site for children and there will be a range of games on offer for all, organised by KLMTC.

The fun does not stop there as later in the afternoon, there will be a Choral Evensong in All Saints Church at 4.30pm, featuring a special choir-led service in honour of the King’s coronation.

The service will be followed by fizz and cake.
