A Watford athletics club that has been running since 1925 recently hosted its annual junior challenge event.
Watford Harriers hosted the Watford and District League Year 5 Cross Country Final on Saturday, March 25, which saw almost 100 children compete to be named the winners.
The Year 5 race was followed by the Junior Challenge, which was separated into an 1.2km U8 race and 2.5km U10/12/14 races.
Boys and girls raced around the park and glass shields were given for the first, second and third places in each age category.
The club also recently celebrated another fantastic year of sporting achievement at its annual awards night at the Sun Sports and Social Club.
Presenting the trophies was British sprint champion Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, who spoke to the audience about his athletic journey and how he overcame injuries to reach his goals.
