The Green Man pub, in Sandridge, is set to host a special quiz event on Tuesday 24 January, with popular television presenter Jeff Stelling as the quizmaster.

As part of a Greene King Abbot Ale customer prize draw, the Green Man, part of Punch Pubs, was selected as the lucky winner to host an evening with the presenter.

The sports quiz evening will be held on Tuesday, January 24 and will begin at 7pm, with a free pint of Abbot Ale for guests on arrival. Jeff will also be holding a question-and-answer session during the break, with the floor open to guests to submit their questions.

Jeff Stelling has been teaming up with Greene King Abbot Ale to help the nation slow down and enjoy the best and most simple things in life, such as a quiz at the local pub. Tickets for the event will be £5 per person, maximum of six people per team, and all proceeds will be going to Dementia UK.

Martin and Jo Crumpton, licensees for the Green Man, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Jeff to host our sports quiz night on Tuesday, January 24, and we were so delighted when we had heard we had been picked as the pub to host Jeff.

“Abbot Ale is a popular choice for those that visit the Green Man, and we pride ourselves on the cask beers we serve. With Jeff’s help we are sure our guests will enjoy the fantastic beer in the best possible way. With a great host, great beer and also a great sports quiz, it’s going to be a fun night.”
