INVESTIGATION: CCTV appeal following armed robbery in Watford

Published on: 17th December 2019   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Detectives investigating an armed robbery in Watford have released images of three people they would like to identify as part of their enquiries.

It happened at the One Stop community store in North Approach, at 8.20pm on Thursday, December 5.

Three men entered the store and approached the till area before threatening a member of staff with a knife.

One of the suspects filled a bag with cash from the till before all three of them ran off in the direction of the subway. The member of staff was not injured during the incident.

Detective Sergeant Chris Parperi, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “Thankfully the member of staff was not injured during this incident, but they were left shaken by what happened, which is understandable.

“I would like to reassure them and the wider community that we are doing all we can to trace those responsible.

“I would like the public to take a good look at the images we have released as although we cannot see their faces, those pictured are wearing distinctive clothing.

“If you recognise any person pictured then please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

If you have any further information about the incident that you believe might be helpful, and have not yet spoken to us, please get in touch quoting crime reference 41/109582/19.
